The Hospital Charles-LeMoyne’s Foundation hosted its annual fundraising gala, “le Bal de 1001 Nuits.” This year, the gala adopted an Egyptian theme and was supported by the Egyptian Consulate in Montreal.




The event was attended by H.E. Consul General Hossam Moharam, General Ahmed Khedr, Egypt’s Representative in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Dahlia Abdelfattah, Deputy Consul General of Egypt in Montreal and Alaa ElBeali, the Commercial Consul of Egypt in Canada.

Also attending were the Mayor of Brossards Dorine Saad, Health Minister Danielle McCann, The Speaker of the Hospital’s Foundation, Sophie Lorain, CEO of Lowe’s Canada M. Sylvain Prud’homme, Organiser / entrepreneur Seif El Derby, entrepreneur / filmmaker Youssef Shanab, President of the Egyptian Student Association of Mcgill university Salma El Zayat and VP Alia el Sabrout.

The event incorporated different aspects of culture, including an exhibit by the Consulate comprising artifacts from Egyptian antiquities and a special display by Les Partenaires de l'Association de la Haute Egypte (PACHE) for the product of Akhmi, an extraordinary textile creations (weaving, embroidery, ...) of women and children artists from upper egypt.

A photobooth that allowed visitors to take pictures with Egyptian costumes was sponsored by Jokermail productions, co-owned by Egyptian Karim & Nancy.

At both the inauguration and the conclusion of the event, the Hospital Charles-LeMoyne’s Foundation addressed special thanks to the Egyptian consulate in Montreal for its support and its collaboration.
